Hubby and I have been trying really hard to be aware of how we are impacting Mother Earth, and brainstorming ways that we can make less of a footprint on the earth. We have many many ideas and dreams of what we'd like to do, but some of them will have to wait. But this past weekend we did manage to build an outdoor composting bin, and we put up two clotheslines. You would not believe how much you can collect for the compost throughout the day, and with recycling as well, we barely have any trash. And I actually really like hanging clothes on the line, it's fun, and a huge energy saver, and money saver!
Just a few ideas of how we can make a small but significant difference, and imagine if we all really considered our footprint, we could really make a huge impact. We're all going to have to start changing our ways, and soon, or we won't have a earth to live on anymore.
I will leave you with this quote from the book Buffalo Woman Comes Singing by Brooke Medicine Eagle
....whatever we do to any other thing in the great web of life, we do to ourselves, for we are one.
And I promise to have some knitting to show you soon :)
hello. I just found your blog from your etsy shop. I love all your pictures. We have a compost bin too....so much less trash! What are the dimensions of yours? We need to move ours or start another one and yours looks really neat:)
