I have been feeling stuck with knitting lately, and needed new inspiration. I found this book called Stitch and Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller.
and immediately fell in love with it. Crocheting felt natural and perfect in my hands right away, I couldn't believe it. I've only ever be a knitter. By I am in love, and it's all thanks to Debbie Stoller's book. Check it out, she's really funny and clever, and the instructions are really easy to follow, and there's tons of fun, hip patterns too!

Furniture Makeover
I had painted this Sun and Moon on our old black kitchen tabletop, which I did like, but it still was so black and dark
With the paint, but old chair cushions, black and gray
Voila!!!! Bright and sunny, and a little more shabby chic, with a touch of country!!!!
I have been somewhat stressed lately, upcoming wedding celebration and all (This next weekend!!!) and I needed a project. I looked around at all of my furniture and suddenly decided that I couldn't take all of the black that was surrounding me. So I found some paint leftover from our kitchen painting project and went to town. Any furniture that was previously black is now white or a light sage green. I LOVE IT!!!! And now I don't want to stop, and I want to keep painting all of the dark wooden furniture too, but alas, I have run out of paint. Oh well, it will just have to wait. But almost Hubby and I did re-cover the kitchen chairs with some mismatched floral fabric scraps that I had saved. It really brightens up the whole house.
We just put our house on the market, so it's probably better not to have wet, newly painted furniture lying around anyway.
Happy Saturday!!!!
