The Pictorial Adventures of Scout and Jody

Before we had our adventure we watched The Winged Migration
It's a graceful film that follows many species of bird migrations all around the world. And Scout thoroughly enjoyed it :)

The Little Things That Make Me Happy

I have started making some new knitted items that I like to call Dread Wraps. They can be used to hold dreadlocks or can be worn as a neckwarmer, earwarmer, hat, etc. I was inspired when we went to an outdoor Wailers concert this past weekend, and there were so many people with dreads.

The Little Things that make me happy:
The mornings when I wake up, and there are new groceries to look forward too, such as these juicy red strawberries.

The surprise I found in our sink the other day. We had soaked some beans for dinner, and a few got away and were hiding out in our sink, and they sprouted! So I planted them next to a house plant, and suddenly, within a few days, the sprouts had doubled in size!

And the short table we have by the window that is filled with nothing but bright green plants. Even if it's still shades of gray and brown outside, at least it's bright green in my house! I can't wait for it to actually feel like spring is here, so far the outlook is not good for this week. We can look forward to more snow and rain!!! Rain actually might be nice, it will help with the brown and gray shades outside and maybe bring out some green shoots of new life.

The Mara Flower Scarflette/Headband and Scout

Introducing Scout, the most amazing Chocolate Lab ever, and our buddy!

Here is my new Flower Scarflette/Headband, The Mara. I have been trying to keep up with my spring knitting, but it seems that spring has brought me a sinus infection, so I've mainly been lying around napping. My poor dog Scout has been so patient with me, and has just let me sleep. Thank goodness for my Fiance, he's been taking care of me and Scout. He's out taking Scout for a walk right now! And he made me breakfast this morning. What a guy :)

Rasberries and Cream

I have made a new hat called "The Rasberries and Cream Seed Hat."

It's sunny here again, but a little breezy. I think I'm coming down with a cold or something, so I'm going to cozy up and keep knitting fun spring items. Enjoy your day!

Seed Hats

I purchased this hemp coffee filter from http://http://www.naturalbluecloud.etsy.com//
It works great and it's reusable, so better for the environment. What could be better than that???

I just added a new hat called the "Spring Green Seed Hat" to my Etsy shop. I can't wait to make one for myself, it is still snowing here! But this hat will work for spring too, because it's nice and loose and airy. Happy weekend!!! :)

Pixie Haircut

I am obsessed with the notion of getting a pixie haircut, and my muse is Jean Seberg from the French movie "Breathless." If you haven't seen it yet, go check it out. Adorable right?

New Spring Scarflettes

This is my first post ever!!!! Whooohooo :) I have been making some new spring Scarflettes/Headbands. Here is the first one, " The Emma." Even though I'm creating spring knitted items, it does not feel anywhere near spring in the town where I live. Here is what it looked like outside yesterday! Snow, snow, and more snow. I am ready for sunshine.
