Scarflettes Scarflettes Scarflettes

The Simple Shrug I'm knitting

Green rain boots from Target, yippy!!!

The spiral scarflettes that I designed seem to be the most popular style that I've created so far, so I am cranking them out! They are really fun to make too. I just ordered a ton of new yarn, in lots of new colors that I haven't used before, so I can't wait to start on that! It's snowing here, huge fluffy flakes, so I am cozying up with the dog and knitting and knitting and knitting.

I have been dreaming of a pair of green rain boots for awhile now, and I finally bought some HERE at Target online.

I have also been trying to knit my own shrug off of a pattern I found on some yarn I bought. HERE is the pattern. So far so good, except my gauge is a little off, so it's going to be a little bigger than I expected, but I think it will still be cute. I'll post some pictures when I'm done. Have a great day!

Fall Knits

Just a few new scarflettes that I've added to Etsy, inspired by all of the fall colors. It doesn't really feel like fall here anymore, seeing that it's snowing right now!!! It's tooo early for that, I am not ready for it. But oh well, I'll just cozy up by the fire and knit and knit and knit. Hope you have a cozy evening.

Samhain Inspiration

Just a little Samhain/ Halloween inspiration! And a new scarflette The Sunshine Spiral Scarflette.

Before reading Starhawk's essay, listen to the chant sung by Starhawk and her Reclaiming friends:
A year of beauty. A year of plenty.
A year of planting. A year of harvest.
A year of forests. A year of healing.
A year of vision. A year of passion.
A year of rebirth.

This year may we renew the earth.
This year may we renew the earth.

Let it begin with each step we take.
And let it begin with each change we make.
And let it begin with each chain we break.
And let it begin every time we awake.

--Chant from the
Reclaiming Samhain Celebration

Check out the Essay HERE

And here's another great link regarding the origins of Halloween/Samhain here from Starhawk as well. Have a cozy fall day.

Cali and Leg Warmers

California was fun and sunny. We had perfect weather while we were there. It was sunny and the same temperature throughout the day. Which is strange for us Coloradoans, where the weather can be warm and sunny one minute and the next it could be snowing.

Here are some new Leg warmers I just added to Etsy called The Paige Leg Warmers. And the arm warmers are called The Maya Arm Warmers. They are a great accessory for Fall, when you just need an added layer to keep warm.
Have a happy weekend!

My First Cardigan

I am working on knitting my first cardigan ever, really my first sweater ever. I normally just make up my own accessories, I never go off a pattern, so this has been a new experience for me. It's actually been really fun, and I can't wait to wear it.
I'm making this cardigan in turquoise, without any buttons. We'll see how it turns out. I found the pattern, for free, on this great website. You can get a ton of free vintage knitting patterns there. Enjoy, I can't wait to finish this one and see how it turns out, then make another one!!!!

OH, and to be honest, I got the inspiration from the movie Edge of Love. I have been waiting for it to come out, and I have been looking at a bunch of pictures from the movie, and the girl's clothes are so CUTE, and hello, look at their cardigans! PS: I will be out of town starting tomorrow, and I'll be back Tues., so enjoy your weekend.
